Mixing paddle

A tool for mixing different ingredients when making mortars or putties. It is similar to a large hoe. It can also be a wooden handmade instrument used to mix the water and gypsum plaster mixture in the mixing tray. Made up of a handle with a crossbar at one end which braces each small slat at an angle of 45º. These slats also help to eliminate lumps from the mixture. Naturally, the crossbar has to be somewhat narrower than the trough. In the mechanical version of this tool, the mixer has vanes integrated in an axis, like a bit, which is fitted into a universal machine.
