Metal carpenter

He constructs and installs window bars, balconies, metallic fences, large garage doors, doors, windows and steel, aluminium or PVC gallery fasteners. He/she combines his/her normal carpentry talents with his/her knowledge of metallic constructions, displayed through the appropriate machining and welding processes. His/her job covers everything from taking the measurements to the final fitting. Taking measurements ?on site' at the work's location, making an outline drawing of the parts to be built or interpreting the plans, with the objective of planning and organising the construction. He/she uses semi-automatic machines or adequate hand tools for less mechanical work. He/she should be qualified in welding.
