The first heat given to the final covering layer of hot ironed stuccos is made with a coarse iron, by pressing the iron over the unset putty. If the facing was harder, a warm coarse iron should be used pressing harder. If to the contrary, the wall was soft or unset, it is best to apply a very hot fine iron without excessive pressure.
