Glue

An adhesive paste coming from an animal, vegetable or synthetic source which is used to stick surfaces. Selecting the type of glue to use depends on factors such as what the material to be stuck is like, the drying time or resistance to water. It is a jelly like solution that is used as an adhesive as well as for preparing surfaces for painting. It is translucent and sticky and is generally obtained by cooking the remains of skins, tendons, bones and cartilage, as well as from rabbit and sheep skins and fish. Vegetable glues such as Arabic glue and starch also exist.
