Casting of arches ?on site' is made with different classes of strickles, depending on their geometric construction. The circles and circular arches are cast with the strickle arm; ovals, ellipses, oval shaped arches and parabolic arches are traced as vertical major axis semi-ellipses, with a cross guided strickle; and elliptical arches with the scissor or articulated arm strickle or with the strickle rule.
