Architectural order

- Tuscan: the base is of the Etruscan type. The shaft is smooth and the cap without decorations. - Doric: does not use a base. The shaft is of a circular section, short and not very slender, ribbed by 20 grooves. - Ionic: it has a base. The shaft is of a circular section, ribbed by 24 grooves. The cap has two helix or spirals. - Corinthian: this has a base made up of three mouldings. The shaft is of a circular section ribbed by 24 separated grooves. The cap looks like an inverted bell or basket from which acanthus leaves overflow, whose stalks form a type of helix or spirals in the four corners. - Compound: the base and the shaft are the same as the Corinthian's. The cap combines Ionic (helix) and Corinthian (acanthus leaves) elements.
