Blastings

In underground works, explosives are used for excavation using drilling rigs and introduced into boreholes that are distributed along the excavation's face. They are detonated following sequences that optimise the process with the following phases: setting out and drilling boreholes, charging the explosive, firing the shot, removal of smoke and ventilation, scaling the sides and the roof, and loading and transporting the rubble. This way a certain length of heading is achieved and the cycle is repeated. The shot pattern is the positioning of the boreholes, the charging and the ignition sequence.
