CBR test

This test serves to measure the platform's support capacity that is its deformation resistance under loads. In a standardised procedure, the platform delivery on site conditions are brought nearer by the compaction of a sample, with a degree of moisture and energy similar to those that will be applied on site. At the end, the sample is stressed using a cylindrical plunger, measuring the sample's highest penetration pressure. The CBR index reflects in percentages the ratio between this penetration and the one practised on a standard sample to get the same penetration.
