Railway infrastructure

According to the Railway Sector's Act 39/2003, ?railway infrastructure means all the elements that make up the main and service lines and the diverted branches for private use, with the exception of the lines situated within the rolling stock repair workshops and the traction unit's sheds or garages'. Amongst other elements included are: the land, stations, cargo terminals, civil engineering projects, level crossings and safety linked installations, telecommunications, electrification, line signalling and illumination.
