Joists

A linear structural element arranged horizontally or at an angle, with its ends resting on walls or beams. Its ends are normally inserted into perimeter tying clamps. It is used to augment resistance in one-way reinforcements. Joints may be made of different materials, such as metal, wood or concrete. Concrete joints may be of reinforced or pre-stressed concrete.
