Consistency of the concrete

The consistency of a fresh concrete, in other words, recently mixed concrete, is the property by means of which it resists deformation. Consistency is determined by a test in which consolidation is measured by a V-funnel. Five types of consistency are considered: - Dry: used for elements compacted by ramming. - Plastic: used in footings and slabs. - Soft: pillars, main beams, walls and reinforced slabs. - Fluid: reinforcements, highly reinforced slabs and low-thickness reinforced walls. - Liquid.
