Partitioning

It is important to take into account the humidity level of the ceramics, ensuring that it does not absorb water from the mortars. Work should be executed within the usual setting temperatures, constructing successive courses by appropriately bedding and bonding pieces. These should be attached by the board onto the mortar behind, working inwards. The mortar layer should be spread on the previous course first, any surplus at both ends should be removed, the flat-side of the brick is spread with mortar, and it is laid with one swift movement. Any surplus mortar is removed. Scaffolding must be used above a certain height. A 2 cm gap is left between the last course and the ceiling.
