These are ceramic pieces, made from baking a mixture of clay and expanded polystyrene balls, which becomes gasified during this process, producing fine porosity in the mass, which, in turn, generates superior acoustic properties in it. This means that it is possible to make single-sheet walls, even though their execution must avoid forming thermic bridges via horizontal joints. They are therefore mortared, leaving a mortar-free central area of 3 or 4 cm, free of vertical joints, with the joggle joint being left to a type of bridle joint of the pieces.
