Contour line

It is the line on a plan or map that represents those points that have the same height, that is to say, they have the same altitude, in relation to a reference plan. They must not intersect or coincide, except in vertical walls and cornices, as the higher they are the less developed they are. If they are intersected by the borders of the paper they will all be closed and follow an increasing or decreasing equidistance. The equidistance between lines varies depending on the type of plan or map. Within the group of contours, those that correspond to a representative spot height are called master lines. There are several normal lines between two master lines.
