Standard gate valves

These are used to cut off the water flow or to switch it on, and are therefore known as on-off valves. They are not suitable for regulating flows, because they suffer great erosion if left in an intermediate position. Up to 2? in diameter they are installed with threads, and from 2? diameter upwards they are connected via brindle irons. They feature a wheel which, by means of a rod or spindle, goes up or down the gate valve, formed by parallel discs. They are used in water intake or supply installations.
