Rollers

A tool used for painting large surfaces. It is made up of a cylinder or ?sleeve' covered in fibre, wool, hair or foam, which is fitted to the handle by means of a metal reinforcement forming the roller's axle, facilitating its rotary movement. They are usually interchangeable, so it is better to have various sleeves for the same roller. Depending on the sleeve's material, there are foam rollers to apply synthetic paints; synthetic or natural wool rollers for distemper and plastic paints; natural long or short hair for better interior finishes, and ?textured' rollers which are fibres arranged in rolled shapes or patterns to decorate.
