Plasterwork treatments

The choice of treatment depends on the type of finish required. When it is going to be visible, rub it with a wet polisher or sponge once it has dried. Surface scraping of the gypsum plaster putty when it is still unset is used to give the plasterwork a creased texture. When one wants to apply wallpaper, the plasterwork should be rubbed in circular movements with the polisher and water to ease gripping. When one wants to paint with smooth paint, any faults should be sandpapered leaving the plaster surface smooth, flat and cavity free.
