This is an even profile, recess or projection, used to decorate or reinforce a surface. There are different types, as follows:
- Flat: made up of rectilinear elements.
- Curved: made up of projected profiles if they are convexes or recesses if they are concave. If they are made up of one or various circular arches in the same direction they are simple, if they have convex and concave parts they are called mixed and compound when they are made up by circular arch profiles that cross in a reverse direction.
